ENGAGE Toolkit, A Funders’ Guide to Understanding Florida Standards Implementation, is designed for education funders to understand Florida Standards implementation and discover new ways to support implementation in their grantmaking.
The toolkit, a web-based members-only platform, examines philanthropy’s role through five modules: EAG background, the current situation, needs at the district level, philanthropy’s role and examples of effective district partnerships.
The toolkit included information on how Florida funders can be more involved in the greater shift from supporting Florida Standards adoption to working towards stronger implementation, including:
- History of EAG and current position and priorities;
- Background on the Florida Implementation Network’s efforts and research to help students meet college-ready standards;
- In-depth looks at effective district partnerships throughout Florida; and
- New perspectives on investment and involvement at the district level.
I worked with a team on this project to deliver tools and resources to education funders around Florida Standards K-12 policy. I designed the logo and online branding for the toolkit, as well as interviewed stakeholders to provide toolkit content on philanthropy’s role in ensuring excellent instruction.
