In October 2012, I became a volunteer exhibition organizer for Poster for Tomorrow’s “A Day for Tomorrow.” The event is an international art exhibition of 100 posters from artists around the world. The 2012 theme was “Gender Equality Now!” This was the third annual “A Day for Tomorrow,” which takes place on International Human Rights Day, December 10. As the exhibition organizer, I secured space and sponsorships from the local community to bring this event to Gainesville, one of only two locations in the U.S. In addition to organizing the event and volunteers, I created the local exhibition’s program.
